My cycle just ended so I'm posting the results.
Interesting to talk with Shannon (above) because coincidentally my Fibrovan didn't arrive and so I've been out for 6 days. This was a prophetic thing because my bleeding was much better- shorter. I think if we bleed too much then we just need to cut back on the dose. I lucked out and got to talk to Gerry, the wonderful creator of Fibrovan, he helped to heal his wife. He explained that with the difference in every woman's body and the odd nature of fibroids, it really just depends how fast they'll heal, how large a dose one should take. I'm on 9 weeks (skipped this week) and my fibroids are much smaller, they felt like rocks because they were swollen. The pain on my scale of 1-5 were 4's pretty much all day for 2 days, very annoying but Advil did work, no harder drug needed. We discussed that at this point I can up my dose by my own intuition to 3/3x a day, or 3/2 x a day etc. The fibrous tissue leaves all month through bowel and discharge (that could be yucky but it's better than pain) :) I'm going for it. He said the women that were ready and increased their doses were thrilled with the results.
He also informed me of the fact that some fibroids are made of muscle tissue and they take much longer to break down. I know that some are massive and calcified like my cousins. If we are not getting the super fast results like some of the testimonials, I say just be happy that we have less pain, more energy and hope. I feel great in between cycles for the first time in years and years and years. This 9 weeks is turning into fun as I observe my body healing. I wish I'd been one of the miracle ladies and could report zero pain in 9 weeks, oh well. It took a long time to get to this condition, many years of not listening to my body tell me to choose better thoughts, better company and eat better food. It's never too late.
FYI in case anyone is interested, my healing path is very much assisted by Abraham-Hicks (.com), The Secret (movie), Eckhart Tolle Power of Now books, Louise Hay, Taoism, Emanuelle books, Don Miguel Ruiz, Stuart Wilde, Shakti Gawain, Shamanic Soul Retrieval, John of God (meetjohnofgod.com), Karl Jung Dream Analysis and SELF LOVE. love struck
I accept all paths and I don't mean to frighten anyone of the religious paths. I just wish for us all to heal and have our power back so we can do all that we want to do on this amazing Earth Walk!!

Blessings to All, I'll let you know how the increased dose works out. Remember to keep your iron balanced.

Hi Erin,

Great to hear that you are doing so well! I am excited to hear how your higher dose works for you.
Not so much luck for me...since my last post I have not quit bleeding...today is day 18 now.
The actual week of my period was not as bad as usual but the week before and after (now) is the worst. I just won't quit bleeding! I am more frustrated than anything. I don't feel like going any where or doing anything. I really just want to lay in bed all day!
I really thought today was going to be a great day....my bleeding had seemed to slow way down with only light spotting and I was really starting to look forward to the weekend...but to my surprise I passed a large clot when I used the restroom and bleeding has picked up a bit now.
As for Fibrovan, I have not taken them for a few weeks now...I am still wondering if they have caused all of this bleeding. To be honest, I have not experienced this much bleeding before Fibrovan, just heavy 8-9 days periods.... I would really like to start taking them again down the line because I have heard such successful stories. I just need to get through this part first!
Sorry for the rambling...just needed to vent!
Good luck to you and everyone who is trying Fibrovan. Please keep us posted!
Thanks-
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding. Between 2000-2002 I bled 12-20 days per month. I was seeing naturopaths, got cancer tested, ultrasounds, medical psychic and nothing worked. If you are not hemorrhaging then I think it's safe to say that the bleeding is the bodies natural way of releasing foreign material or excess material (fibrin). Here is a list of herbs that help reduce menstrual bleeding: Goldenseal, Oil of Evening Primrose, Red Raspberry. My bleeding just slowed to normal after a few years.

Here's a site with remedies for Menorrhagia (excess menstrual blood):

Here's a site a for powerful Medical Intuitive:

She can tell you where the root cause is. She's phenomenal, well worth the price.

I've just recently heard about FIBROVAN and I'm interested in all the posts that I've read. I had a myomectomy in 2000 and am now faced with that option again. Not thrilled about the concept of another surgery especially since I'm faced with the possibility of a hysterectomy. I've been diagnosed with having uterine fibroids AGAIN and was seriously anemic because of them. I have no children but don't want to thwart the idea of having them because I have fibroids. Just asked my new doctor if I could get off the birth control pills and she said of course. Here's the link I found; most doctors prescribe B/C pills as a way of regulating the menstrual cycle but the estrogen in them allows the fibroids to grow a little more rapidly. So, it's a darned if you do, darned if you don't. Now, I'm at a point where the B/C pills aren't working to control the bleeding, only feeding the fibroid so-to-speak. I would like to try something natural but I'm so not sure about FIBROVAN. Wondering if it's worth trying as well as other natural products. I got depressed for a while because I was always so healthy, taking pride in my health and body, participating in running events, very energetic and full of life. I don't know about everyone else on this site but FIBROIDS have been devasting emotionally and physically for me and now may be ruining my chances of have a child in the future.

My mensus went from 4 days, starting on time to lasting over a week, emensley heaving bleeding, excessive clotting and so much pain that the first two days are normally spent in bed in the fetal position for most of the day. I'm on Iron therapy because of all the blood loss and an abundance of iron also can cause side effects such as constipation which is horrible during your cycle. I need help.

Thanks to all

Hi Shannon sorry about your Fibrovan experience, I just want to know how are you doing now, are you still using Fibrovan. As I was reading all the messages I kind of understood with one of the writers saying maybe all the bleeding is due to the excess bad waste and Fibrin in your system. I think Iam going to take a chance on Fibrovan I dont want surgery again, Iam really scared. I had surgery 2 yrs ago and they grew back so why not try something else, all surgery did to me was drug me up cut me up drug me up some more, and then they grew back !angry

Hello everyone. My name is Karen. I have uterine fibroids also. My doctor wants me to have a hysterectomy in January. He said there was nothing that could shrink my fibroids because they are too big. I didn't believe him. I started taking Fibrovan on Dec 3, 2007. My period came approximately two week early. I have also noticed less pressure just from the first two days. But I am still experiencing heavy bleeding, blood clots, and cramps. The first day of my period I took 2 pills. Like one lady said, it was very watery. I didn't take anymore that day but still experienced heavy bleeding. Today, I took only one pill and still am bleeding heavy. I didn't notice any tissue just blood clots. Can someone else tell me if they also experienced these things. Also, can someone tell me what the fibroid tissue may look like or is it part of the blood clots.

Thank you.

Hi ladies, I started taking Fibrovan at the beginning of April 2008. I had been told by my Doctors that I have fibroids and my uterus is the size of a 16 week pregnancy. They suggested surgery which I have refused for years now. However, over the last 4 years my periods have been very heavy. I had to change a super pad and super tampon every hour for at least 3 days. I use to miss 1 day of work each month and had to bring extra clothes to work to change because if I sat at my desk for more than an hr I would hemorrage and have to literally run into the restroom. I ended up in the ER last July because I was totally hemorraging and missed 3 days from work. That was the last straw. I started taking an herb called white oak bark. I would take 5 capsules every 4-5 hours during the days of my cycle. I would sometimes start taking them the day before if I could. Anyway this worked until march of this year when the health food store I purchased them at was out of the product. I was in trouble. I could not go anywhere especially to work. Anyway I researched the internet and found Fibrovan. I started taking it 2 weeks before my next cycle started. I have been taking 2 Fibrovan capsules 2 times per day and I did not have to take one pain pill during my cycle nor did I use the white oak bark. My cycle did last for 2 days longer but I never hemorraged and I used half of the feminine products that I used the previous month. I did have heavy discharges before and after my cycle and the thick sometimes white/yellowish mucu
passed in my urine. I also have experienced some discomfort to a noticable pain not related to my cycle but I figure the Fibrovan is working. One other thing. I am a Christian and believe in the power of prayer for healing. I prayed over my body in faith believing that God would work through the Fibrovan to heal my body and so far it has worked. I do believe that every womans body is
different and you must find what works for you as an individual. If you can, work with your Doctor to make sure you don't have any other diseases or illnesses that are aggrivating your situations. I know what you're thinking. Your Doctor doesn't understand and can't suggest anything other than surgery or drugs. This is true! However, be sensable while looking for remedies. For those of you who pray to God, ask Him to direct your healing search and connect you with what is best for your situation. I pray that every woman finds the healing solution that works best for her in Jesus Name.
