My daughter is 24 weeks pregnant and is in severe pain. She did not realize the fibroid would have such a devastating impact on her daily activities as she is now on bedrest. Hopefully, she will carry the baby to term. I hope that someone who survived this ordeal can recommend anything (besides pain medication) that helped. Thank you in advance! Deborah

Did she develop the fibroid during her pregnancy? I'm 35, never been pregnant (but plan to some day) and have a fairly large fibroid. My OBGYN told me in the past that if the fibroid continued to grow I would probably have to have surgery and if I got pregnant I would have to probably have a Csection.
My sis in law had a fibroid when she was pregnant but it ended up shrinking and I think she's ok now. |

Hi....i had a baby 9 months ago and i'm 39 years old. i had multiple fibrosis , one is 18 cm...very big. Now during pregnancy i was in a lot of pain and i was back and forward to the hospital, becuase the pain. at the hospital they treated with mar=gnesium and after that with PROCARDIA. this medicine is for high boold presure but it controled the pain, i was able to enjoy my pregnancy betwen week 28 and 34.....when my baby was born. hes is very healthy and now i'm taking some hormone to control the pain and shrink it...down size i have gaing weight...the one i did not get during pregnancy...but at least i'm able to enjoy my miracle boy.
just be clam and ask your doctor for Procardia.....it helped me to enjoy my only one pregnancy! |
